Review
PPTminimizer is a useful application for compressing and reducing the files size for Microsoft PowerPoint and Word documents, maintaning the original file format. It also compresses StarOffice and OpenOffice presentations and documents saved in a Microsoft Office format.
It doesn't need installation and can be run from CD or USB device.
This application offers up to four different compression factors or levels. It includes a Microsoft Outlook plug/in for the PowerPoint presentations and Word documents to be compressed before they are sent as attached files. It also can be added on MS Windows Explorer.
The program includes a search wizard to locate PowerPoint presentations and Word documents within the user PC or in the network where the computer is connected.
Another feature is the possibility of flattening the embedded documents within PowerPoint presentations and Word documents, such as MS Excel tables and charts, CAD pictures, etc., that are converted to simple pictures, reducing the output file size significantly.
The application gives the user the option of selecting a custom compressing setting, defining the output screen resolution, the JPEG compression factor and the quality for MS Words documents, so files can be reduced to a desired size.
The publisher offers an special developer version (SDK) where most of the programming languages are supported, such as C#, C++, Delphi, Visual BASIC, VB.net, etc. |
